UI Architect
Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a UI Architect to own the front-end foundation of our platform: not just how it looks today, but how it scales as we grow. This is a hands-on architecture and technical leadership role. You'll work closely with our professional UX Design team to bring their vision to life at scale, and with our AI and backend engineers to shape how complex, real-time data surfaces in the UI.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
1. Front-End Architecture Ownership - 8+ years in front-end development with a strong track record designing enterprise-grade React applications. Deep hands-on experience with React (latest standards), Vite, and TypeScript. Has independently architected scalable UI systems including mono-repo structures, shared component libraries, design tokens, and CI/CD build pipelines.
2. Design Systems & Component Engineering - Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a Design System adopted across multiple product teams. Proficient with Enterprise UI Frameworks (Ant Design or equivalent). Able to take finished UX designs and implement them with precision using modular, accessible, and reusable components.
3. Hybrid Data Architecture - Solid experience with modern data-fetching strategies and state management. Hands-on with both GraphQL and REST APIs, with an understanding of how to architect the UI layer to handle asynchronous, real-time AI backend responses efficiently and reliably.
4. Interaction Design & Motion Engineering - Working knowledge of Motion UI principles and animation engineering. Experience building transitions and micro-interactions that communicate AI processing states such as loading, streaming, and thinking in a way that feels intentional and responsive.
5. Performance & Observability - Experience with frontend performance optimisation bundle analysis, lazy loading, code-splitting, and caching strategies. Familiar with monitoring tools such as Lighthouse, Sentry, or Web Vitals. Able to define and track frontend performance benchmarks.
6. Technical Leadership & Governance - Has led architecture reviews, defined coding standards, and mentored engineers at multiple levels. Comfortable communicating technical decisions to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
WHAT YOU'VE SHIPPED
- 10+ years in front-end development, with at least 3–4 years in an architecture or principal engineering role
- Built and shipped production-grade AI or enterprise SaaS products with complex UI requirements
- Experience with micro-frontend strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing practices (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
- Comfortable in regulated or high-trust domains: fintech, regtech, or financial services experience is a strong plus
- Worked alongside dedicated UX/Design teams: implements finished designs, not rough sketches
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
- Competitive foreign currency salary
- True architectural ownership of the frontend at a growing AI-native RegTech company
- A senior voice in product and engineering decisions from day one
- Deep hands-on exposure to LLM-driven interfaces, real-time AI systems, and graph-backed data products
- A culture built on trust, learning, and solving genuinely hard problems that matter to financial institutions worldwide
You will be part of a team that values trust, learning, and working together to solve interesting problems at the frontier of AI and risk engineering. Your work will directly shape the experiences of risk, compliance, and audit professionals at some of the world's leading financial institutions. Come join us!
